Just in time for my birthday and right before holiday shopping madness ensues, Downtown Summerlin, a retail and entertainment destination being built in the heart of the master-planned community Summerlin, will open October 9, 2014.
“Downtown Summerlin will soon be the place to be for fashion, dining and entertainment in Southern Nevada, and we are happy to see the excitement from the entire Las Vegas Valley for this first class development,” says Kevin T. Orrock, President of Summerlin.
Featured anchor stores include Macy’s and Dillard’s. But shopohalics like myself can also look forward to the first U.S. stores for Lindbergh and b.young – international men’s and women’s fashion brands. Other featured retailers include Michael Kors, True Religion, Sephora, Boston Proper, Brighton Collectibles, Republic of Couture’s Resto Lounge, and White House|Black Market.
Over a dozen restaurants and eateries have also been announced, as well as a Regal Cinemas complex. “Our mix of tenants will include world-class brands that are new to Nevada in addition to retailers who want a Summerlin location for their growing customer base,” Orrock explains.
Summerlin drivers drive me crazy, but the shopping, beautiful scenery and good-looking people are well worth the effort. I’m super excited to shop, dine and enjoy Downtown Summerlin and elated with the continued retail growth of my Las Vegas home.
