Tips from the Miracle Mile Shops Beauty Bash

Last Saturday, Miracle Mile Shops hosted a Beauty Bash event that featured personal care and beauty brands available at the center all together in one public spot, allowing customers to browse station to station and take advantage of makeup touch-ups, complimentary braids, and sample products. It was a blast. I got to check out the event before it opened to the public, giving me the chance to talk to staff members and makeup artists one-on-one and get some nifty tips. Here’s what I learned at the Beauty Bash.

Get Dolled Up at Drybar
See my braid above? Yeah, Drybar did that. They even added a little curl, too. Miracle Mile Shops Senior Director of Marketing, Wendy Albert, just gushes about Drybar. She can’t get enough, telling me that styles offered are named after drinks, customers can order drinks, and chick flicks are shown throughout the day. Now, that does sound like my kind of spot! You can even add a braid to your blowout for only $10.

Plus, this particular location at Miracle Mile Shops is huge. With over 20 stylist stations, Drybar can easily accommodate groups and parties. What a great hair styling option for both Las Vegas locals and visitors alike.

Rethink the Red Lip with M•A•C’s Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour
Again, it was Wendy who brought this to my attention. She was recently on the Las Vegas NOW show with both Drybar and M•A•C Cosmetics, where the makeup artist talked about moving away from the structured lip and attaining a fresh, diffused look by using an eye shadow brush applicator to apply the lip color.

And that’s exactly what my M•A•C artist did for me. See my lip look above? He used brush 242 to apply Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Dance with Me. By using this brush, normally used for eye shadow application, he made my lip line soft and not sharply lined. The look is fresher and more contemporary.

Build a Better Brow with NYX
Here’s what the NYX makeup artist told me about creating eye-catching eyebrows (see hers for a great example):

Miracle Mile Shops’ Beauty Bash events are a fun way to explore, experiment, and get a beauty education on the latest trends. The shopping center holds these events more than once a year. So visit MiracleMileShopsLV.com for more information, and follow the brand on Twitter and Facebook to keep updated on all of its events.

Shop NYX, M•A•C Cosmetics, Drybar, as well as other beauty brands, at Miracle Mile Shops, 3663 South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Complimentary services and gifts received, but did not affect my opinion.
