Another encounter on Twitter has inspired another blog post. This one goes out to all the single ladies.

I tweeted about a lingerie sale, and one of my followers generously, yet begrudgingly, re-tweeted my post saying, “I’m not in a relationship, but I’ll tweet this for those who are.”

I immediately replied to her saying that she didn’t need to be in relationship to give herself the gift of sexy. Eventually I convinced her, but it got me thinking, are single ladies everywhere denying themselves the luxury of lingerie?

Here’s my thought process on the subject: if career counselors advise employees to dress for the job they want, not the job that they have, then shouldn’t the concept behind that theory apply to love, too? Dress for the relationship status you want, not the one that you have. And, yes, that includes sexy lingerie.

If you allow yourself the joy of sexy, pretty lingerie, you’ll feel confident, beautiful and lovely. This self-love and inner (or under) happiness will emanate through your body language, smile and the way you carry yourself. Time for another Tweetup. I sure go to a lot of these, don’t I? This particular one was ladies only, and I couldn’t wait to see old friends and finally meet in person women with whom I’ve been talking to on Twitter.

I had to go from the office to the event, so I opted for something with which I could create two looks. The basis of the outfit is the zebra print lingerie top and denim trousers. Add a cardigan, and I’m office appropriate. Take off the sweater and add a rockin’ leather jacket, and I’m ready for a night out with the gals.

And check out my new hot shoes. Tsubo sent me these darling, fashion-forward oxfords called Nabu, which I plan to review in a future post. What I can tell you now is that these shoes are SUPER COMFY. I could run a marathon in these shoes. They have great style, but are as comfortable as a sneaker. I kid you not.
