As El Cortez celebrated its 70th anniversary, this downtown casino hosted a special tweetup which was presented by Alexandra Epstein, VP of Marketing and who is regarded among the Vegas style scene as having a great sense for fashion. We were treated to light bites, complimentary cocktails, a tour and a bit of Vegas history.

My outfit includes a denim jacket, which is a gift from Inspired by Claire Jane. She has some more available at her website for only $50! They run a little small, so buy one size up. I’m majorly in love with this jacket. It comes in at the waistline, flattering the figure.

With tags still on, each piece was about $145. But at Buffalo, I paid about $45 total.

Together, the top and skirt could make a stunning outfit. And in Las Vegas, this type of over-the-top look is totally acceptable. But I see more potential in breaking the pieces apart. I envision the skirt with a T-shirt and boyfriend jacket and the top going with anything from jeans to skirts.

So I wore the top with my new favorite pair of jeans, CJ by Cookie Johnson, and I wore this entire outfit to an art show presented by my friends at Up All Day, featuring the art of James Mulligan and taking place at Caramel. The event was awesome. And I love these jeans. Look for my review of them and interview with the designer in the following post.
