It Rained. It Poured. We Drank Beer.

Flash floods are not enough to keep Las Vegans from drinking a lot of beer. While the combination may not exactly be the smartest one, Motley Brews’ 2016 Great Vegas Festival of Beer in downtown Las Vegas celebrated its biggest festival with a record-breaking attendance, in spite of a downpour of rain, on Saturday, April 9th.

Featured beers included  PT’s Brewing Company’s Festival Pale Ale, a guava, mango and pineapple pale ale created by brewmaster Dave Otto as the “Official 2016 GVFB Beer,” Coronado Brewing Co. (my favorite, especially since that is my last name), Crafthaus Brewery, Big Dog’s Brewing Co., along with many more.

Mouthwatering cuisine filled the air from Las Vegas favorite eateries, such as Urban Turban, Cantina Laredo, Gals Hot Dogs, Glutton, Good & SLO, Stripchezze, and Pot Liquor. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation and Nevada Craft Brewers Association.
