Keeping Up with Fashion Week
I know how you feel. I’m not in New York either. But that doesn’t mean we have to completely miss out on Fashion Week. Thanks to the Internet, the world is smaller place. And if you visit the right websites and blogs or follow the right profiles on Twitter, you can be updated on every show and everything going on at Fashion Week every minute of the day. Here’s how I’m staying updated:
- Style.com – Style.com flippin’ rocks! Not only can you see photos from the runway via their website, if you have an iPhone, you can view it all via the Style.com iPhone application. Download it now!
- Coutorture.com – Okay, I’m not just saying this because I am a Coutorture member. Coutorture.com truly does offer awesome images, coverage and runway reports.
- Women’s Wear Daily – Normally you have to have a paid membership in order to read articles on WWD.com, but I guess for Fashion Week, the folks at this fashionably informative publication are being a bit generous and are making available reviews and slide shows. Thank you, WWD!
- FashionWeekDaily.com – Hello! This one should be oh-so obvious. What’s not so obvious? The cheeky humor that is often slipped into the articles. Loves it!
- Fashionista.com – It’s like you’re reading your best friend’s blog. So, it’s like your best friend is at Fashion Week and telling you all about it. And naturally, you’re really happy for her and you’re so glad she’s sharing all this inside info with you. But at the same time, you can’t help but be secretly jealous and wonder why the hell she didn’t take you with her. Nonetheless, you’re still glad she’s your friend and at least someone is telling you what’s going on at Fashion Week.
- LiveFromTheTent – Follow this profile on Twitter and get the live scoop.
- #NYFW – And while you’re on Twitter, just do a search of this hashtag and you’ll find all kinds of great info!
