Celebrating its 10-year anniversary next year, Patty’s Closet continues to be a must-shop boutique for every Las Vegas visitor and on the permanent shopping radar of local fashionistas.
Owned by spouses Patty and Juan Barba, Patty’s Closet first opened during the Recession. Not only did it survive a challenging economy, it actually thrived, later booming with franchises popping up everywhere.
The retailer’s boom has slowed a bit, giving the Barbas time to reassess their business goals and develop new ones, such as creating an online show at WCOBM.com where the duo plan on featuring local businesses and offering advice and insight. And while some things have changed behind the scenes at Patty’s Closet, two things remain the same: a passionate dedication to service and a showcase of hot fashion trends at affordable prices.
For fall, Patty is a fan of oxblood red, navy, forest green, and gray – all hues you’ll find featured in her boutiques. But don’t forget to check out Patty’s own line Cocoa & Robbie (named after her wiener dog and son, respectively), which includes accessories, jewelry, and even baby onesies all handmade by Patty herself. “I’m a creator,” Patty says. “I love to create, and I get inspired by names. A business name says a lot.”
With three stores in Las Vegas and two in Hawaii, you’ll regularly find Patty and Juan at the Town Square location. So, if you’re interested in being styled by Patty herself, get to the store early when it opens. And because this power couple are quite the movers and shakers, it’s important to keep up with what they’re developing next. So follow Patty’s Closet on all its social media channels: @pattyscloset on Twitter, Facebook.com/PattysClosetLV, @pattyscloset on Instagram, and on Snapchat under pattybarba2013.
